General Scheduling

  • In order to maintain a manageable clientele for emergency calls, the main practice area is comprised of areas within Lancaster, Lebanon, and Dauphin Counties within a ~40 minute driving radius of the Neffsville post office.

    Farm calls in Southern Lancaster, York and Chester Counties are accepted on a case by case basis.

  • Please know that communication is a priority. In the event that you will not be present for your appointment window, you are expected to

    1) Let the practice know ahead of your appointment how you can be reached for questions or follow-up.

    2) Agree to an estimate for the services to be rendered and make arrangements for prompt payment

    3) Designate a responsible individual to work with the veterinarian on arrival unless otherwise specified.

    We currently do not schedule work outside of the hours of 8-4 Monday-Friday. Availability and flexibility of scheduling is subject to change as needed.

  • The main phone will be with Dr. Nicole from 8-4 Monday-Friday and will be answered by her when circumstances permit. Clients and patients have the first priority in person.

    If you have time constraints with regard to phone availability, please leave that information in a message.

The Lancaster Post office on Meadow Lane is the location of the KHVS PO Box, and approximates the center point of the practice. The red circle indicates a 20 mile radius in contrast to the dark gray outline of Lancaster County.

Policies

  • Payment is due at time of service for all clients.

  • Currently Kissel Hill Veterinary Services accepts check, cash, credit cards and ApplePay.

  • We do not have a price sheet to share.

    If you are interested in the price of a specific service(s), we will generate an estimate to share with you.

    Please note that product prices are subject to change on based on factors such as manufacturer rates/ back-order and distributor availability.

  • In many circumstances medication can be shipped directly from a pharmacy to a specified client address. For time-sensitive needs a location can be arranged to leave or exchange supplies/samples.

  • The nature of your relationship to Kissel Hill Veterinary Services (Veterinary Client Patient Relationship or VCPR) will determine which prescription medications you may have on hand between after a given visit. We are unable to fill prescriptions for other veterinarians.

    For practical reasons, stock inventory is minimal.

    Any large orders should requested AT LEAST TWO business days prior to a scheduled visit.

    Production farm clients are eligible for overnight drop-shipping of many prescription and over the counter products. Many equine products are also available for drop-shipping.

    Kissel Hill Vet will establish an online store for clients in Spring 2024.
